About Krista

My Back Story: Organizing has been a way of life for me as long as I can remember, from making lists, rearranging closets and kitchen pantries to revamping personal filing systems and planning multiple moves as an adult. It has always given me a sense of clarity and order. After many years of working in the business world, raising three children, and having made six cross country moves, I have honed my organizing and moving skills, personally and professionally.  

My Current Story: As I contemplated the next chapter of my life, my family encouraged me to do what I love and enjoy. It was an “aha moment” for me when I realized I can help others organize their homes and manage their moves while doing something that I am passionate about - and Aha Organizing was launched! It is very rewarding for me to help families, couples and seniors manage their moves and organize their homes.

My Education: I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University, with a certificate in Elementary Education. I am a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and I currently serve as Director of Membership for the NAPO Virtual Chapter. In addition, I attended the Institute for Professional Organizers, and received a Certificate of Professional Development. I am also a member of the National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers (NASMM) and I have completed both the Front Door Training and Business Development Courses. I abide by the strict code of ethics of both associations to serve the best interest of my clients.

My Policies: It is important to start and stop each session at the specified times in order to stay on track. We will begin by reviewing the goals for the current session and then we’ll get started. Fifteen minutes prior to the end of the session we will begin wrapping up to ensure we are not leaving things in a mess.
